Read our full Product Truth Promise →This painting draws on the Tanjore tradition but takes an architectural subject rather than a devotional one. It shows a courtyard viewed from above — pillared corridors on three sides, a central garden with a fountain, and geometric floor patterns. The composition uses gold foil for the architectural details and semi-precious stone accents for the garden elements. The overall palette is deep — burgundy, forest green, aged gold — and the effect is rich without being garish. Painted on cloth-mounted wooden board. Lakshmi Narayanan has been refining this architectural approach for several years, and this piece represents his most resolved work in the style.
